No liveblog today [I need a day to recharge], but I should be watching, and there might be an LB duo liveblog tomorrow [starring myself and America's No. 1 Sandwich Eater, Hyposquasher] from our mountainside hangout. No, it's not a treehouse. Jerks.

Looks like it's going to be a long day for the Cubs. Milwaukee has a power hitting club, the wind is blowing out, and Rusch is on the mound.

Christ, they hit two home runs already.

My blood pressure is dangerously high.

And Rusch doesn't make it through the third as the Brew Crew hits bombs to the bachelor party.

At least the drunks are having fun today.

I'm expecting a 15 - 3 loss today.

Well someone has to enjoy this slaughter, although we can perhaps console ourselves knowing that we're not getting beaten like Minnesota [just yet, although it could well get there].

Twins down 15-1 in the 7th.... ouch.

Oh, and I think it's safe to say that Glendon's fun in the rotation is over now?

Jim, I'm thinking more like 11-5.

They need to replace Rusch before Cincinnati runs off with the division. They can't afford to throw his game away every trip through the rotation, especially with the effect it has on the bull pen.

This is what I'm foreseeing - Rusch to the bullpen, Aardsma to AAA, Hill to the rotation (1.5 ERA and only 7 BB in AAA this season). One problem, though, is when do you make the move, what do you do with the bullpen until then? Hopefully Aardsma can go another inning or two, regardles of whether he gives up runs or not.

Can we chuck Ohman too? Walking the pitcher is an unforgivable sin.

Fuck.

If they need extra hands, I'll come up to the Cubs bullpen if necessary. I have a mid-40s fastball, a knuckler, and a charming rags-to-riches story behind me. ESPN will eat it up, and then I'll fall right into middle relief.

Also, does anyone else think it's insulting that the Brewers are still actively trying to score runs in the 6th inning of a 13-0 game? All their starters are still in and swinging like their pathetic lives depended on it.

Seriously. We've thrown in the towel and raised the white flag [hence the appearance of Michael "Dismal" Restovich and Freddie "Fucking Useless" Bynum]... so why not get the superstars out?

Fucking bullshit. I hope we beat them 20-0 tomorrow and that Caray shits on them from beyond the grave. Motherfuckers.

Wow, look at these replacement players go! Bynum has two hits! Restovich has two hits!

I'm feeling light-headed...

Tomorrow Cubs win 3-2. Z gets first victory.

Interesting facts:

- Starting Lineup today: 3-22 batting.
- Bynum + Restovich: 4-4 batting.
- Of Milwaukee's 13 runs, 11 came with 2 OUTS.
- The Cubs grounded into 4 double plays today.

Yeah, where did Bynum find a bat?

End of the 8th, 13-2 ball game, no postion players left on the bench, and Hairston is arguing balls and strikes with the homeplate umpire. Great. If he'd have gotten thrown out, Howry would be playing first, Mabry third, and Perez second.
